Dr. Judit Monis has over 20 years of plant diagnostics and disease eradication experience specializing in grapevines and vegetable crops. Judit started her career at Agritope, Inc. developing the first commercial R&D program focused on grapevine disease diagnostics. The work performed in this lab pioneered the present testing methods used in industry and government labs. Based on this knowledge for the past 11 years developed and led STA Plant Health Services business unit. Judit also held the Supervisory Plant Pathologist-Virologist position at the USDA Center for Plant Health Science and Technology and the European Pathology Manager for Seminis Vegetable Seeds, at the time the world’s largest vegetable seed company (now part of Monsanto), where she oversaw the vegetable disease resistance research programs in France, Italy, Spain and The Netherlands.

Judit is a native of Argentina, where she received a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Cordoba. She received a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and post-doctoral training at the University of California.
